The purpose of the ASO Address Council (ASO AC) is to oversee recommendations on IP address policy. This includes the management of policy development activities. The other major aspect of the role of the ASO Address Council is the appointment of Directors to the ICANN Board of Directors.
This council is composed of 15 members, including 3 representatives from each of the Regional Internet Registries. The members of this council also serve on the Number Resource Organization (NRO) Number Council.
