OECD, Working Party on Information Security and Privacy, Building Trust in the Online Environment: Report of Conference on Business-to-Consumer Dispute Resolution (DSTI/ICCP/REG/CP(2001)2) (Apr. 19, 2001) (full-text).

Overview[]

This document reports on the two-day conference on online alternative dispute resolution jointly organized by the OECD, the ICC, and the HCOPIL in The Hague on December 11-12, 2000. The primary focus of the conference was on business-to-consumer disputes involving small values and/or low levels of harm, as well as on informal, flexible systems that allow for the necessary balancing between the type of dispute and the formality of the process for resolution (e.g. assisted negotiation and mediation).
