an elastic execution environment of resources involving multiple stakeholders and providing a metered service at multiple granularities for a specified level of quality (of service).[1]

United States Edit

A cloud is

[a] model for enabling on-demand network access to a shared pool of configurable IT capabilities/resources that can be rapidly provisioned and released with minimal management effort or service provider interaction.[2]
