Consent is

Consent is a person's or entity's manifestation of assent.
Internet[edit | edit source]
Consent is
“ | an individual's action in response to a clear, meaningful, and prominent notice regarding the collection and use of data for a specific purpose. Where an entity has a relationship with a consumer through an additional or different medium than the device to which Consent applies, Consent may be obtained through any such medium.[2] | ” |
“ | [e]xplicit permission, given to a Web site by a visitor, to handle personal information in specified ways.[3] | ” |

Consent "means words or conduct indicating permission. Consent must be informed and conduct indicating permission may be express or implied, depending on the context."[4]
