A data processor is

[a] natural or legal person, public authority, agency or any other body which processes personal data on behalf of the controller.[1]

Ireland[edit | edit source]

A data processor is

a person who processes personal data on behalf of a data controller but does not include an employee of a data controller who processes such data in the course of his employment.[2]

United Kingdom[edit | edit source]

A data processor,

in relation to personal data, means any person (other than an employee of the data controller) who processes the data on behalf of the data controller.[3]
