The Fourth Industrial Revolution (also called Industry 4.0 or Industrie 4.0) refers to the current trend of automation and data exchange in manufacturing technologies. It includes cyber-physical systems, the Internet of things and cloud computing.
The first three industrial revolutions were those driven by steam power, electricity and electronics.
