Overview[]

The Global Space-based Inter-Calibration System (GSICS) is an initiative of Coordination Group for Meteorological Satellites (CGMS) and World Meteorological Organisation (WMO), which aims to ensure consistent calibration and inter-calibration of operational meteorological satellite instruments.

EUMETSAT is one of the founding partners in GSICS, along with other agencies responsible for operational weather satellites, under the coordination of WMO Detailed technical information on GSICS, including operational inter-calibration results, meeting news, technical documentation and scientific reports, is provided at the GSICS Coordination Centre (GCC).
