Overview[]
This is a glossary of computer security terms. It contains material drawn primarily from official documents of U.S. Government departments and agencies. Other terms are from private organizations and individuals, as indicated in the Reference section at the end of the document. The intent of the National Computer Security Center was for this document to focus on terms in the field of computer security. However, because of the overlap of computer security and other security disciplines, some terms such as TEMPEST are included.
