The Industrial, Scientific and Medical (ISM) band (ISM) is an unlicensed part of the RF spectrum used for general purpose data communications. In the United States, the ISM bands are 915MHz, 2.4 GHz, and 5.5 GHz. Elsewhere it is 2.4 GHz.

The Industrial, Scientific and Medical (ISM) band (ISM) is

the unlicensed frequency bands available for use by any wireless device that conforms to rules established by the FCC.[1]
