Biometrics[]

A match is

[a] [c]omparison decision that the recognition biometric sample(s) and the biometric reference are from the same source.[1]
[t]he capability and/or process to compare biometric data in order to link previously obtained biometrics and related contextual data to a particular identity for identification or verification of identity.[2]
