Overview[]

The Act, as revised, directed the Secretary of Commerce to assign to the Assistant Secretary and the NTIA the responsibility for the performance of the Secretary's communications and information functions, including functions relating to assigning frequencies to radio stations belonging to and operated by the United States, or to classes thereof.
