truthful, comprehensive, and intelligent account[s] of the day’s events in a context which gives them meaning.[1]

"News may be thought of as comprising information, such as stock prices; reporting, where information and/ or observations are brought together into a news item; and analysis, including all manner of commentary or deliberation on the topics at hand."[2]
