Overview[edit | edit source]

The Smart Grid Information Clearinghouse was initiated by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) in 2009. DOE contracted with Virginia Tech to design, establish, and initially maintain this clearinghouse. The clearinghouse serves as a repository for government and industry smart grid information including standards, projects, lessons learned, and best practices to facilitate wide-ranging data collection and information sharing.
