Telecommunications services are

[a]ny transmission, emission, or reception of signs, signals, writing, images and sounds or intelligence of any nature by wire, optical or other electromagnetic systems.[1]

United Kingdom[]

Telecommunications service is

any system (including the apparatus comprised in it) which exists (whether wholly or partly in the United Kingdom or elsewhere) for the purpose of facilitating the transmission of communications by any means involving the use of electrical or electro-magnetic energy.[2]

United States[]

Telecommunications service (also referred to as a communications service) means
