The University Corporation for Advanced Internet Development (UCAID) is a university consortium of 125 members devoted to accelerating Internet technology development and implementation. Concerned about the ability of the existing Internet to meet the research and instructional needs of higher education, these universities have joined to develop recommendations for the next generation Internet architecture, security, services and applications.
