Why did you delete this entry?

Preliminary response[edit source]

Thank you for your email. We can both agree that we do not want inaccurate information on the IT Law Wiki, and I will review the court's decision again and compare it to the summary on the IT Law Wiki to insure there is nothing incorrect in that summary.

However, as you are aware, the decision in question was only a preliminary decision in the case regarding the jurisdiction of the Minnesota court. It did not address the merits of the case, nor did the entry in the IT Law Wiki. Whether you won the eventual trial of the case was not discussed in the court's decision.

Phillip Roy Financial Services case summary[edit source]

I have had a chance to compare the case summary published on the ITLaw Wiki with the publicly available federal court opinion at

http://scholar.google.com/scholar_case?case=14329391426384718976&q=%22Workman+Securities&hl=en&as_sdt=2002

The ITLaw Wiki entry is an accurate summary of the court's decision. In my opinion, as a lawyer with over 30 years of experience, there is nothing in the entry that is inaccurate. If the complaining party still believes that there is anything inaccurate with the case summary, I would ask that they specify what they believe to be inaccurate, and I will look again at the court's opinion to ensure the accuracy of the entry. However, I do not believe there was any basis for deleting the entry and I believe the entry should stay as it is.
