Video is

the technology of electronically capturing, recording, processing, storing, transmitting, and reconstructing a sequence of still images representing scenes in motion.
[p]ertaining to bandwidth and spectrum position of the signal that results from television scanning and is used to produce an electronic image.[1]
[m]otion imagery that is recorded or transmitted as either a digital or analog electromagnetic signal.[2]

Use on the Internet[edit | edit source]

Video is an effective communication tool for reaching target audiences. Short videos are used to communicate all kinds of information by way of websites and popular online video-sharing services. Short videos can be produced inexpensively and played on computers and many mobile devices. Video is the communication format of choice for many young people.
